The mission of the Cherry Point Officers’ Spouses’ Club (CPOSC) is to promote goodwill, friendship and cultural opportunity, and to provide a social setting for its members. CPOSC also raises funds for charitable purposes that primarily benefit military personnel and their families.
CPOSC is proud to be part of MCAS Cherry Point, home of the Second Marine Air Wing and was founded in the early 1950s as the Officers’ Wives’ Club (OWC). The OWC’s original function was a social club with amazing traditions and connections. Over the years, the CPOSC has grown with the evolving role of the spouse in today’s military family. Today we take an active role aboard MCAS Cherry Point and in the surrounding community. The current members are comprised of hard-working and dedicated volunteers who selflessly donate time and energy to raise money in support of Marines and their families.
CPOSC raises money through sales from the Whistle Stop Thrift Store, Treasures of the Point Gift Shoppe, and through various fundraisers. The money generated is filtered back into the MCAS Cherry Point community through merit scholarships and financial assistance.
